Bad Mothering?

Girl has been going to sleep and waking up with a terrible cough. I've been slathering her with Vicks drowning her with her humidifier and giving her cough syrup. The coughing has been keeping her up late and waking her up early. This morning she woke up hacking and coughing at 5 a.m. because her nighttime dose (administered at 7 p.m.) had worn off. Seeing as how it was Thursday (our day for staying home) I gave her some nighttime cough medicine so she'd get some more sleep, and she slept until 8:30 a.m. Does that make me a bad mom?
