Can't Sleep or the Old Guys Will Get Me!

Recently an 81 year-old man, Dan Tilli, wrote a letter to the editor of his local paper, his relatively benign comments netted him a visit from the F.B.I. (Source). The reason: they thought his letter was a threat against the president.
Now poor Mr. Tilli was deemed safe after an hours worth of grilling, but I am still filing this in the "Oh, Please!" file.
I thought "We the People of the United States of America" were guaranteed free speech. I guess maybe that doesn't extend to little old men, or anyone who disagrees with the President.
