Shocking!

When we were little, my sisters and I would don socks and slide all around the carpeted areas of the house as fast as we could to build up a really nice static charge. Then we would try and touch each other.
I think the most fun part of it was that you were (or at least I was) almost afraid to touch the other person because you'd get as much of a shock as the other person. Also, you couldn't run away because you'd lose your charge. Consequently you'd slide away as fast as you could without lifting your feet.
The place where you'd get caught the most was the doorway from the living room to the hall, something about the bottleneck or something.
Another part of that was sometimes we'd get too excited to wait to shock someone else, so we'd touch the metal brackets that held up the shelves on the bookcases and shock ourselves.
The best part about it was how hard we'd laugh.

Okay, one of my favorites was when Granddaddy would go to the piano and we'd all gather around and sing. Really. Just like TV. Except that Granddaddy had a li'l dachshund who used to sit up and howl (doggie sing), too.

Really. I am not kidding.

Stephanie-I believe you, we still do that sometimes at my Aunt Pat's for Christmas and my B.I.L. plays a mean piano.
Kelly-No doubt, and I'm sure Wonder Monkey agrees though she didn't have her bathing suit back then, just a collar and a leash and she was Annabelle's pet.

Static shocks rock!

You thoght the hallway bottleneck between the kitchen and living room was the best -- but the hallway bottleneck back by the bedrooms was truly the spot -- for some reason that place always caught you guys unexpectedly.

Unexpectedly because you'd hide there and get us as we turned the corner. It was really tough tricking kids 3 and 5 years younger than you I'm sure.
