Oh, Baby, Oh!

It seems to me that so many of my friends and family are having babies right now. I think there was a blackout, train, or minor disaster last August that caused this phenomenon (or I would if any of these people lived in the same area). On my list is my life-long friend Chris, three of my cousins, my sister-in-law, Mr. H.'s best friend's wife, a friend of mine from college, and a friend from work. There are also a number of other women that I am not really directly connected to, but at least know they are pregnant; people whose blogs I read, or a FOAF.

Seriously, what is going on?

So it seems I have babies on the brain. Now, don't worry, I am not getting baby-fever; that ship has sailed. I am very satisfied with having two awesome kids, the cutest godson ever,

and a passel of other really fun nieces and nephews. I do think it sucks that Girl doesn't get to have a sister, but I would have wanted to have done that for her about one or two years ago, and back then I was still too battered from having her, to have even considered another one. Still every now and again I feel a little ache, luckily I have Mr. H.'s common sense to keep me grounded until I come to my senses in an hour or two and remember, I DO NOT WANT ANY MORE KIDS!

At any rate I want to say: Welcome to the world, Dylan Matthew (April 21), Peyton James (May 8), Justin Joseph (May 14), and Brady Michael (May 17). I am sure you'll have more company soon.

Something must have been going on last August - because you are right - there are new babies EVERYWHERE right now....maybe it's just Spring.
