And Your Name Is?

There is a kid that is in all of the same activities as Boy. ALL of the same activities. I talk to his mom all of the time. Her kid is great. She's extremely sweet. It's all hearts and doves and candies.

The problem is, I have no freaking clue what her name is.

It's been three and a half years. I am way past the Mrs. B. stage. I can't call her V.'s mom. We have swapped stories about everything under the sun. We've sat next to each other during all day swim meets. We happily greeted each other at band concerts.

Now I am too embarrassed to ask her name.

I feel like a sitcom.

I would suggest one of two things:

a) dupe somebody else into giving you the name. Like the attendant at the gym or wherever you guys meet up. Make it sounds like you, 'forgot to tell....oh what's her name I forget'....

2) Spy. check for mail in her car...follow her home. Get her phone number, do a reverse lookup. Have her license plates tracked...ok maybe that's a bit far.

Yeah, you're definitely having a Seinfeld moment there. This has happened to me. In the end, I just fessed up and told her I didn't know her name. She also fessed up and admitted she didn't know mine.

You could ask her to spell out her name to add her to your Christmas list or whatever mailing list you might have?!

Can't wait to hear if your mom's trick worked...
