Today, Rayne at Crunchy Bits is hosting Fun Monday and she wants to see either our junk or something we collect.
I collect matryoshkas (or nesting dolls).
I blame my husband. I used to have a full set of Care Bear glasses that he instantly broke within a month of us living together. I think he told them I collected Care Bears, what he didn't get was that I just loved the glasses. I also have a set of Smurf glasses (which Mr. H. isn't allowed to touch), it doesn't mean I collect Smurfs.

From the above pictures you might think I have a bunch, but I don't. I could use some more. See when you pack them up, there are only seven sets.
I will also mention that my inlaws inexplicably think that I collect these:

Amazing!!! I have ONE nesting doll. For Christmas...it's a Santa. "My" collection makes my pride so pale to your collection. Wow...just wow.

How nice ! we call them "russian dolls" apparently the first once came from there ! The smurfs celebrate their 50th birthday, I know it because they are Belgian and there is quite a lot going on to celebrate their birtday !

That is funny about the care bears.
When I was in high school I bought a notebook with a unicorn on the cover. My mother decided I collected unicorns and absolutely filled my room with unicorn figurines, posters, etc. and then then told my relatives I collected unicorns. To this day I can't look at a unicorn thing without shuddering.
I love the last set - the frog? Too cute! I had a set of nesting dolls somewhere...now I'm curious as to where they might be packed!
The Care Bears thing cracks me up. When I first brought home my stray cat that apparently meant I was suddenly going to begin a collection of cat-related decorative items for my house. I finally had to tell my mom to please not buy me cat stuff.

Hootin Annie- I also have two Santa sets, but they're packed away until the holiday season (Oh and a little house with Santa, Mrs. Clause, some elves and a couple reindeer but I don't count that because the dolls are all the same size and just nest in the house).
Tiggerlane- The frogs are my favorite too, my husband gave them to me one year for our anniversery.

What a nifty thing to collect … and you have such an extensive one! Alas, I tend to collect ‘junk’ of all kinds.

I love nesting dolls even though I always forget what they're called. Did you know there's a children's show where all the people and animals are nesting dolls.
